Trista J. Vick-Majors Postdoctoral Research Fellow Carbon Biogeochemistry Aquatic Microbial Ecology
I am a microbial ecologist studying biogeochemistry and microorganisms in the northern and southern regions of the globe. I also believe strongly in the importance of effective science communication.
My current focus is on studying the connections between microbial communities and the cycling of dissolved organic matter in boreal aquatic environments.
My interests include: Microbial ecology and biogeochemistry in aquatic ecosystems. Carbon cycling in subglacial, marine, and terrestrial aquatic environments. Life in icy, dark, and energy-limited environments. Connectivity between the cryosphere and climate. Communicating science to the public. The interface between science and policy.
